Candle Molds

These are some 3D printed molds used to cast silicone molds, which in turn were used to make candles. The molds themselves are all original designs, so are the models for the christmas tree and the christmas-themed cyllinder. The part of the mold that gives the candle its shape was done in Blender, because of ease of use and greater flexibility when modelling, and the rest of the mold was designed in Solidworks, since it's easier to calculate and modify tolerances and thickness values.

The part of the mold that included the model of the candle was printed in ABS, then softened using acetone, so that the silicone mold wouldn't have any printing layers on it that would later transfer to the candle itself. Everything else was printed in PLA.
